is there any way i can replace the processor in the roomba with the bs2? or should i just gut the roomba and mount the BOE and servos inside the roomba?
From what I know of the roomba, it uses an extremely underpowered microcontroller, so a stamp should be more than capable of performing the same functions.· The trick will be figuring out which pins go where and do what, then writing the stamp code to control it.· I don't recall what type of motors/motor controllers the roomba has in it, so be careful you don't remove more than just the processor when you're gutting it.· There are plenty of websites out there devoted to modifying roombas... check google.
