SX_key Dilemma's

Hi All,

I have just recently purchased another SX-key and I seem to be having some problems with the unit.

I am trying to program code into an SX 52 with the new key and am not having much luck,
the circuit has the correct voltages and I have been able to use the old key to program the device successfully.

When I try and program the device with the new key I am getting different errors thrown by the SXkey Version 3.1 IDE
for example

Communication Error : 164
Communication Error : 66
Communication Error : 162
Communication Error : 223
Communication Error : 159
etc

I am not to sure what is going on. Possibly a broken SX_key! Any ideas that would shed some light on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Stolzie

    Hello,

·· So, does your old key work?· Just out of curiosity, why did you get a new key?

    Hi Chris,

Yes my old key works fine does everything it is suppose to do!

I needed another key so that I was able to program chips twice as fast! tongue.gif

It is a lot quicker to get product out the door when you have two people programming units.

    Thanks

    Okay,

·· Well, if plugging the old one in works fine, and simply replacing it on the same machine the new one doesn't work, then perhaps there is a problem, and you should contact Tech Support for an RMA.

The frustrating part will be when Tech Support sends you to the Forum... smilewinkgrin.gif

    Thanks for your help guys

Will get in contact with the distributor that I bought the key off and get a replacement.
