Are·there any sockets that i can place this chip on it and will expand the sockets to fit my breadboard?

Thanks!

Did you order the 14-pin DIP or the QSOP?· The QSOP is a surface mount.

Well, judging by the picture, that's definately a surface mount part.· If you're good at soldering, you could attempt to solder it to a circuit board and then use that with your stamp... but that isn't easy.· If you're just doing hobbiest-type work or simple prototypes, you want to order DIP package parts whenever possible.· DIP = dual in-line package.· It's what the basic stamp is (although the stamp is actually composed of several surface mount parts on a small circuit board that happens to have DIP pins attached, much like I suggested in the beginning of this post).

If you re-order your part or buy different parts in the future, a few things you should know:· DIP parts come in two widths, .3" and .6".· The stamp module is a .6" DIP.· When you buy sockets, you not only need to buy one with the right number of pins, but the correct width as well.· Sockets can be bought from just about any electronics company (I think you might even find some at radio shack).

    Hope this helps...
