I hust recieved a Max3100 IC. The problem is that it is too small to fit into my Basic Stamp sockets.

im not sure what to do!
Are·there any sockets that i can place this chip on it and will expand the sockets to fit my breadboard?
Thanks!

Do you have a Stamp Tester yet?

If you re-order your part or buy different parts in the future, a few things you should know:· DIP parts come in two widths, .3" and .6".· The stamp module is a .6" DIP.· When you buy sockets, you not only need to buy one with the right number of pins, but the correct width as well.· Sockets can be bought from just about any electronics company (I think you might even find some at radio shack).
Hope this helps...
Im trying to look for these DIP adapters but they're very hard to find.
i guess im left with no other choice but to reorder the part in DIP!
This is exactly the sort of thing i need,
