I am looking for a compare and contrast analysis of the differences·between RoboEye·and CMUcam2.· Strenghts/weaknesses and "best for use in..." comments would be great.

Thanks,

Steve

    Steve,

·· There really is no comparison between these two devices.· The Robo-Eye sends slow-scan images back to the PC, while also allowing commands (serial data) to be sent·between the PC·and the BOE-Bot or device that the Robo-Eye is mounted to.· About the only real similarity is that you could use your PC to do image analysis and control the device based on commands returned.· This is similar to the CMUCam in only that respect, but also slower.··The CMUCam really is for color tracking, and the version we carry is designed for the BOE-Bot, or more specifically, the BOE (AppMod connector required).
