Mounting LCD Terminal AppMod on the SumoBot SumoBoard

This appmod is intended to be used with the SumoBot.

However, when I try to mount it·the connectors for the servos and edge detection sensors get in the way.

Also, I am confused about how it connects electrically.

It has a socket connector on the bottom, not a plug connector as I would have thought.· I can not find an illustration of this any where on the Parallax site.

So it appears I have to provide my own connection pins and the board needs to be mounted higher
than intended so it misses the connectors for the servos and edge detection sensors.·Because of this,·I will also need a longer aluminum standoff than the one provided with the appmod.

Does anyone have an·explanation for this?

Any other comments?

Thanks,

Lawrence

    Lawrence,

·· Are you saying your LCD Terminal AppMod did not come with the Header Pins sticking out the bottom?· Where did you purchase it from?

    Yes!

That is exactly what I am saying.· It has a socket connector just like what is on the BOE-BOT and SumoBot boards.

I bought it directly from Parallax in January.

And then·it has the second problem of interfering with the Servo/Edge Detection Sensor plugs.

    Thanks,
