Hi everyone.
My name is Jack Kelly (PlJack)
I am the system and software designer for Howe and Howe productions.
Our RipSaw project has just been posted on the Parallax Customer Applications page.
www.parallax.com/html_pages/resources/custapps/app_ripsaw.asp
I want to take this opportunity to comment on how impressed I am with Parallax as a company.
When we approached Parallax about using their products on this project they were supportive and enthusiastic.
Any request for support was promptly replied to in a professional manner.
During design meetings I would layout hardware needs to our staff and within a few days there would be a Parallax box at the door.
At these meetings I would find my self again and again commenting on how Parallax is really stepping up to the plate on their pledge of supporting this project.
Many companies offered support on this project but only a few followed though.
I have work with hundreds of hardware companies over the years and I have to say
that Parallax gets the number one slot by a long shot.
Their hardware design is brilliant. Their quality control is world class and their support is legendary.
I cannot thank Parallax enough. RipSaw is a difficult project to begin with.
Without Parallax it would have been even more so.
Thank you Parallax.
Jack

Perfection in design is not achieved when there is nothing left to add.
It is achieved when there is nothing left to take away.

· We get letters and e-mail all the time from happy customers who saved themselves weeks or months of development time by using a BASIC Stamp in their product.· We see our products in use all the time in magazines, TV shows and even in movies (props).· Let's not forget schools!· With all the educational material we have, many schools have finally been able to add technology to their line-up.· The kids definately benefit from this.
·· I could be considered a bit biased now, but before I came to work for Parallax, the BASIC Stamp 2 saved me from dropping out of microcontroller-based product development altogether because I got tired of having to keep learning new instruction sets, and buying new compilers/assemblers and programming boards.· I found out 1 BASIC Stamp 2 Module could do 99% of the work of my old Z80 boards which used about 14 chips on them.· And the 1% involved adding a $1.50 part.

Wow! Very cool project. My students and I followed last years DARPA challenge. This year I am sure that someone will get·farther than 7.5 miles. I'll bet more money went into the project than the DARPA prize pays.
This project puts my success story to shame. I made a "Kim Possible" ringtone for my daughter using a bs2p40 board. Parallax Rocks!
