newbie servo issues

I just got two continuous servos and a servo controller board from parallax. I've tried connecting the servos directly to my microcontroller (with their own power supply of course) and using a PWM command to make the servo move. No matter what the value is that I output, the servo always turns clockwise at the same speed. I know I don't have much information here, but I really don't know what to do next. I've tried adjusting the pot on the side of the servo, but that does nothing to it.

Thanks a lot,

Jared

Please download the Robotics text and look in chapter 4 and it will explain how to control the·servos.· Here is a link for the download of the text:· http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=28154·.· Are you using the Parallax Servo Controller or the servo sockets on the Board of Education?

I had a similar problem a while back.· Make sure that your 9V Stamp power supply and your 6V servo power supply all have a common ground.· Otherwise exactly what you describe and other strangeness occurs.
