serial comunication between stamps....

What is the simplest method to comunicate between stamps.... What I'd like to do is to run a few sensors on one board, then send results.. or commands to the other board.... Such as if a ir finds an object, then send via, serial a command such as F for forward, or R for right, ect...
·Also would there be a problem sending info serial from a bs2 to a bs2px... ?? Thanx again _Duane
