Pan and Tilt Turret style mounts.

Hello Folks!

I hope I'm posting this question in the correct forum blush.gif

I have seen quite a few of the pan and tilt turret style mounting brackets offered for sale on the web. However, I'm trying not to have to buy what can be made at home. Most of them look fairly easy, some a bit more complex, but all doing the same thing. I'm planning on mounting a CMU camera on such a pan/tilt turret. Can anyone make any recommendations, or provide me with the arrangements that worked best in a similar application? I'm thinking along the lines of styrene plastics, and clevis mounts. Any feedback as usual is much appreciated!!

Respectfully,
Michael G. Jessat

    Provas,

That is really good! Looks like a replicated BOE BOT tongue.gif .

From the picture, I am guessing that it is only panning not tilting? Or am I wrong blush.gif .

By panning and tilting you mean that the turrent turns left and right, up and down???
Sorry but my english isn't so goodblush.gif (don't know many·idioms if we can name them so...)
If you mean that, the turrent is able to turn at least 3000 degrees, but can't turn down or up either. There are small servo motors which can really do the trick.
What are you thinking to make?smilewinkgrin.gif

    Provas,

Panning would be left and right, Tilting would be up and down. If you have any suggestions on homemade mounts I would also be interested. I have been working on some for a "spy cam'" that I bought on bay to mount on a boe-bot but have not been all to happy with my results. I did order one oneline but I'm still working on something homemade.
