Hello from Buck Rogers
I've got another project being created. I'm down to the paper and pencil stage of development.
It involves the Lantronix Xport. Has anyone used one of them before? Also I've got just the device here, no development board or anything like that.

Keep in mind when mixing Xports and the Stamps that the Xport is a 3.3v device, not 5v...

It happens that I am. I did read most of the documentation on the device so·I did notice that they did choose 3.3v for the internal logic.
According tht to LVTTL standard which describes 3.3v logic the parts can sometimes stand the shock of a 5v input.

I am still gathering ideas however. Can you attach a copy of your schematic? Also code for the thing for the stamp. This is on a Stamp1. Also RS232 ports aren't going away, they are just being made available via USB enumerators.
