Recomended books for a refresher?

I am enjoying the basic stamp and have learned a lot about programing. I thought that I still had a pretty good idea about electronics from what I remember from the classes that I took in high school, but my memory seems to not as good as I thought. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions about any books that might be able to refresh some of the basics. I have seen many books out there for basic electronics but was wondering if anyone had some·preferences on what are the better books.

Paul Scherz "Practical Electronics for Inventors" is a great book as well.· He has a great way of demonstrating how different components work.
Both are available at Amazon.
Understanding Basic Electronics
