noob: generating waves in software

Does anyone know of some good SX28 sites/tutorials for generating precise waves in software?

For example, I would like to generate a 440Hz wave (musical note A) for a music circuit I am building.

thanks!

Here is a post I made some time ago for a "fractional-N frequency generator" for the SX.
    It is written in SX/B.

    Hey thanks Bean!

I am using ASM (forgot to mention) so I will see if I can convert it...unless people here can convince me otherwise.

my long term goal is to create a home-brew computer and this is my audio system.

    Thanks!

Just compile it and look at the LST file.
