basic stamp 2 sx heating up !!

I find that the Basic Stamp 2SX heats up pretty bad during normal operation, but if functions just fine ... is this normal and is there a way to reduce the heating. I use a 9v battery to power the stamp. I tried using a basic stamp 2 in the circuit and it works fine without heating.

    Hello,

·· Please bear in mind that the SX runs much faster and therefore hotter.· Is it so hot you cannot hold your finger on it for 5 seconds?

    Hi,
No it is not too hot to touch, it heats up in about 30 seconds and retains that heat, but definitly not too hot to touch. I can keep a finger on it for a long time.. But it just feels strange that it should heat up this much.

This is normal with·BS2sx.· I don't recommend using a power supply over 9v when using the BS2sx.
