I really do not understand the advantage/difference between the SX controller and the BS2 I am use to. I only ask as the new XGameStation tool seems interesting.
anyone willing to give me brief description?· is it difficult to get into?

also you can program the SX easily and freely with Assembly and SX/B(Basic). There are also some C compilers out there.

The SX is programmed in assembly, and there is no comparison regarding ease of use. I can have a "concept" up and running on a BS2 in 1/10th the tme it takes to do the same on an SX.
Parallax recenlty released their free SXB compiler which greatly eases the programming of the SX, but it is somewhat limited.
Price.....BS2 $50, SX28 ~$4
The SX requires a programming adaptor $90 (SXkey one time investment) where none is needed for the BS2.
There are applications where the BS2 is simply not fast enough and the SX is better suited.
In my mind, it comes down to how much $$ you have to spend on this hobby/equipment, how often you will build new projects, and what you want to do.
There are advantages to each, the BS series and the SXes.
The SX/B makes it easier to get into the SXes.
And the SX carrier boards should be out soon...that is going to be one heck of a cool board (at a great price, or so we're told!)

Yeah, you can put me down for about 10 of those guys if the price is close to what is predicted !!
