Steppermotorcontrol with keypad

I think i need some help·
· i am new at this forum and not verry expirienced with BS.
My project:
I want to control a steppermotor with a keypad by using a BS2SX and a LCD screen.
With the keypad you give a number, for example 230, and the steppermotor will turn 230 steps in a given direction. On the LCD screen is displayed 230. After this move you can reset the BS and is ready for a new instruction. Untill now i made a 12 knobs keypad and i can read the colums and the lines in·the debug mode, but what do i have to do now???
