CMUcam1 vision system help

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get my CMUcam1 mounted on my boe-bot to communicate and output live feed to my computer via the serial port, but am having some trouble doing so. I got this nifty java program from here (http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~cmucam/downloads.html) , its the beta java interface program (running on windows xp). Do I need to write a program to output the data? Any help out be great! Thanks!
