12 Servo For Use And Recharging Batteries

Maybe the number sounds 
extreme but I want to make a 8-wheel vehicle and with the four front one being able to move...(right and left)
All 8 Servos connected to the wheels will be getting from the same pin the same pulses but there will be a different DC power source from the Stamp (BS2 especially).
Of course I will do so with the other servos which are for steering. (The pin will be a different one... but the supply same with the other servos...)
I am posting this "post" in order to let me know if there is no problem with so many servos and the pulses the get and if I will be able to use a rechargeable battery which will not be removed from the vehicle but have a special "port"
from where the recharger's cable will be connected...
Will I have to "break" the circuit from the batteries to the servos when recharging...Maybe yes...?
