The tags for the RFID reader are they preprogramed with a unigue code when you buy them or can you program them your self?

    Hello,

·· Each tag comes from the manufacturer pre-programmed with a unique code.

There's a good article on RFID technology in the June issue of Nuts & Volts magazine.· And in my column in the April 2005 issue I show how to use our RFID reader with the BASIC Stamp (BS1 and BS2).· Here's the link to that:

As Jon mentioned, there are actually two articles in Nuts and Volts on RFID. The June article is now available on our web site courtesy of Nuts and Volts. Links to both of them are here:

You Can't Touch That BASIC Stamp Application:

We received a new delivery date on the Parallax RFID Card Reader which puts it at our office by June 14th. This particular PCB has an integrated antenna and it took some experimenting to get maximum·power from the traces.

Yes I read both articles on this reader but don't remember reading that the tags were preprogramed from the manufacture, but when old age set in you start to miss a lot of things . Thanks for the replies.
