Yes, it should be possible. You'll need to configure the unit for TTL communications and connect your serial pin and ground to the display. Once that's done, try one of thse lines -- I'm giving you two lines because I don't know if the display uses inverted serial or not.
I have used LK-204-25 and LK-202-25 (both are serial interface) from MatrixOrbital. I believe that their products are fully compatible with BasicStamp. I can access all functions of the LCD from my BS2. If LCD2041-GW is serial interface, go for it !!
