how can I check that my Hamamatsu Photoreflector is still working and has not burnt or is not bad.

    I have p5587,p5588

    yes it worked in the circuit then it stopped, I though loose connection but no,

    agian I have to make another circuit again it worked but stopped later on

    Whats going on I want to figure out

    It looks like you can force an input by putting 5 volts to the "pulse input" THROUGH a 220 ohm resistor.

    The spec sheet shows the pins for the "pulse input" that should force the output low on the 5588 model.
