    The application note states the unit is accurate to +/- 1 brad after calibration. What the heck is a brad (other than a short nail)?

    BRAD = Binary Radian, or 1/256 of a circle (about 1.4 degrees).

    That resolution is great. Your old unit was just 8 parts of a circle, wasn't it?
    And this unit is so small I couuld put it on the back of a cockroach [noparse][[/noparse]with a battery, too].

    I really need to have a compass and have been avoiding committing. GPS is no good for robots because they really can only get you into the ball park. Then it is up to a blend of compass, gyro, ultrasound, IR, and video to sort out the real details.

    I guess I should make another shopping list for Parallax [noparse][[/noparse]as I need some more sonar and accelerometers to really get navigational]
