Hello,
I have a project that I want to do and I was wondering what parallax equipment I could use.· I have a BSII and many sx chips plus a BOE and SXtech kit.· I want to create a sort of radar device for looking uder ground for artifacts.· A GPR.· Can I use an ultrasonic transducer pair? Please help me go in the right direction.· Thanks, Curtis

I know that Beau Schwabe developed a metal detector that may help you with this project?· Here is a link for more information:· http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=535660

I work with ground penetrating radar and I wish you luck. If you can come up with anything I would be very interested. The biggest problem I can think of is the antenna. The one we use costs between 15 and 20 thousand. When your dealing with gigaherts frequencies, microcontrollers running in the megahertz region are kinda slow.
