[Error IDE-0022] Error reading from the serial port (timeout).

I have been experiencing difficulties programming the Javelin Stamp. I am using the USB BOE-BOT as my programming and testing platform. My first problem came when for whatever reason the USB driver changed the COM port assignment from COM4 to COM5. After some research on this forum I changed the Latency to 1 msec and that seemed to have fixed it.

Now I have another problem and I am not sure if it's related or not. I was trying to debug a program through print statements and mistakely changed one of the loop delays to around 4 msec (from 1 sec). Now I can't load an updated program.

"Test Connection" finds the Javelin stamp on COM5 and reports success. However, when I try to download the program to the Javelin I get:

[noparse][[/noparse]Error IDE-0022] Error reading from the serial port (timeout).

Also, it does not appear that the existing program is running.

Any ideas?

Any way to really reset the Javelin Stamp so it won't try to run the currently loaded program until I can get a new one loaded?

And lastly, HELP!!!

··········· This is most likely because the com port is set to five still; if so please set the com port to·four or less. If it is set to four or less·then you·will want to send the unit in for testing. Please contact our sales department at sales@parallax.com for an RMA number.

I did not think it would help since I was able to load at least one program using COM5, but I tried it anyway. I successfully changed the USB driver to COM4 and it still fails. I'm able to test the connection before attempting to load a new program, but even the test fails once I have tried to load a program.

I'll have to call sales tomorrow. I'm a mad rush to get this project done.
