·Im a bit new to parallax electronics and not very good with them I must say.

    If you read through the description it says

    "This product is no longer avaialbe for purchase. Look for our new Professional Development Board - Coming Soon!"

    The PDB is 10x better with less cost

    The NX-1000 was a great product and has served us well. That said, we wanted more so we created the Professional Development Board. Not only can you use it with BASIC Stamp 2 modules and the Javelin Stamp, but the PDB also supports the BS1-IC module and the SX28. The SX28 is really a big addition, especially since we released a free BASIC compiler for the SX (SX/B) last year.

    The PDB will be shipping in the next couple weeks, and those who've waited for it will be very happy indeed.
