Crustcrawler Arm Woes

I am working with one of the arms from crustcrawler.· I am using their default code.· I double checked through the assembly and wiring.· Yet as soon as I turn on the servos, the arm flips straight up and over and lands on the stamp and the servo controller.· If I push it back I encounter a spot where resistance doesn't let me go by, unless I force it.· I am guessing this is the position I am setting.· But I can't figure out why it isn't stopping there.· Anyone have any guesses?

It is very helpful when asking a question about some non-Parallax product if you put in the name of the vendor, at least, and hopefully a link to the vendor, like www.crustcrawler.com.

Are you using a BS2? Or a BS2p? The crustcrawler demo code seems to use a PSC interface for the servos -- so which actual BS2 chip you are using shouldn't matter -- though you MUST use the proper baud rate selector value.

Other possibilities include power problems, or grounding problems.
