Greetings, all-
My 2-1/2 yr old loves phones, and loves to push buttons. I frequently get him old phones, cell phones (minus the battery), etc to play with. I try to get the kind with the number buttons right there on the handset.
Here is what I want to do. I want to build a part that I would first hook up to my computer, and download cool sounds, phrases, whatnot onto. Then I would install it into the old handset with the number buttons, such that the number buttons would activate the different sounds. I want it to be cheap, so I can make a bunch of them. If it costs $15 or $20 to make, I'm only going to make one, but if it costs like $5 or less (yeah! yeah!) I'd make a bunch. Because his big sister will want one, too. And because I think it would be fun to do.
I don't know what to call this project, so I am having a terrible time looking up how to do it. Someone on some other forum mentioned using "Basic stamp" to do it so here I am.
Well- hoping this request doesn't get lost-
Many thanks for the help!
