A Toughie - Sensor Linearization

Team,
I got a new pair of GP2D02 Sharp IR sensors and hooked them up successfully (with help from everyone here!).
Now, I need a Stamp friendly (not floating point) equation to translate the 8 bit voltage reading to centimeters. I can't find an equation that makes sense for the capabilites of my BSII - Any takers?
