Javelin stamp on BoE

Hi
I have a BoE Bot robot using the Basic Stamp... I want to now use Javelin Stamp. Can I use the Javelin Stamp on the same Board of Education. Has anyone tried using Javelin Stamp on the board of education? Are the two compatible, especially the programming part, where the data from the computer has to be put in the microcontroller.
Kindly let me know, if any one has any practical experience on this (varun.aggarwal@gmail.com)
THANKS

·· Yes, you can use the Javelin Stamp on the BOE.· The modules are PIN Compatible, and the Javelin can be programmed on the BOE.· You will simply have to write your own code for the Javelin to run the various Sensors and Stepper Motors.·

I had tried the link in the robotics forum too....to no avail!
Was it pulled? or Bandwidth exceeded?

The kettering student server is down but I have posted a temporary page at www.jonkeinath.com/robotics.html

1. The Javelin has a single-step debugger that works really well, but it does 'take-over' the programming port. You may want the second serial port supplied on the Javelin development board -- or you can implement a simple MAX232 driven converter. The Javelin is NOT a drop-in replacement for a BS2 if you are using the BS2 'SEROUT 16' port, unfortunately.
2. The Javelin takes more current than a BS2, so a wall-wart is really nice.

·Be forewarned though, it is an advanced text, at the very least you should read through the Robotics 2.2 text before starting on the JavelinBOT text.· The text is in a preliminary draft format, chapter names don't match, pictures don't match, etc.· You will want to concentrate on the text not the formatting.· Also there are pictures of the BOE and older pictures of the BOE-BOT.·· The Javelin Stamp Demo Board will be used for the final text, when that happens.· I have gone through most of the text and have corrected some of the programs that have errors.· If you have any problems let me know and I will try to help as best I can.·
· Also make sure you have version 2.0.3 of the IDE or some of the class files will not work with any of the earlier versions.
