Measuring PH with BS2

Has anyone out there ever used the basic stamp to measure PH. I have an application where I would like to measure the PH of two different materials and sound an alarm or close a valve if the PH level goes out of range. One of the materials has a PH·between 5·and 7 and the other ranges from 8 to 10. one of the electrodes I found produces a voltage of 1.75 in a ph buffer of 7.0. The voltage increases by about 0.25 volts for every PH number decrease and decreases 0.25 volts for every PH number increase. I appreciate the info if anyone has done anything like this.

It sounds like the electrode you mention has a preamp with offset built in. Here is a tutorial article about measuring pH with a Stamp...

You may have to allow for temperature compensation, and periodic re-calibration.
