Stamp rocketry

Hi, all,
I'd be interestred in hearing the experiences of any other educators that have taught a lesson or a semester of electronics using the Stamp in model rocketry. I am considering using model rocketry for as semester theme the next time I teach my interfacing class in the Fall.

I can anticipate some raised eyebrows from my administration with regard to pyrotechnics, but I think fears can be allayed with srtict use of NRA guidelines, etc.

I'd like to know if you've done this, what devices you worked with (alitmeters, video, accelerometers, audio, etc.), what rocket kits worked well, what else worked well and what didn't. I am sure a well planned curriculum would make for a very popular class.

Thanks,
Bruce

When I was much younger I had many Estes rockets. They are the best and have a great selection. I used one in particular for payloads, it had a large nose cone which could accomodate electronics, or in my case an egg. Good times. Send me a PM if you have specific questions, I would be pleased to help you in a any way.
