Holy cow! I didn't think my entry would do *that* well... Could have done with a better photo I suppose (I've got a new pair of glasses which are IMO far less dorky than the ones I was wearing when the photo was taken), but.. wow.. never expected to win 2nd place, not in a million years...

Congratulations to everyone who entered - especially Jens - that autopilot (SAM) is pretty neat. I'm slowly working my way through the other entries - the SX video module also looks interesting (though I've got an amber-screen 80x25 serial terminal next to me, so not really much use for it ATM).

Thanks to Parallax for holding the contest - I certainly had fun - and I hope everyone else did, too :)

I think that reading through the code and looking at the projects really helps foster a better understanding of the SX. Great work, and I'm really enjoying reading about the projects.

Great projects, everyone who submitted is a winner IMO.
I was under the impression that there were 16 entries. I only see 15 there. Who is the unlucky lad that didnt make the cut·lol.gif
I wonder, will there be another contest?

That's a very impressive list of projects. I look forward to reading about them right after I finish building my current project - the SX Game system that I first heard about on this forum www.rickard.gunee.com/projects/video/sx/gamesys.php

Hey SXers:

There were 16 submittals but the 16th was so incomplete we didn't bother posting it on the web site.

Parallax congratulates everybody who submitted a project. I compiled the results from the judges and found it interesting because they had a fair amount of agreement on the·top winning projects. Statistically it was really close, too.

I think Ken Mathis and Peter Van der Zee did a fantastic job even though they didn't win the bucks.

If you guys want another contest we'll do it again. It's all up to you - tell us if you want to do it again. Our primary interest is to develop the SX user base. One way to do that is to provide some inspiration in the form of projects generated by contests.

We'll contact the winners on Monday to arrange their payment.

Sincerely,

Ken Gracey
