character format
Hello,
I'm expecting to drive a system under format : 9600 bauds, 8 data bits, one even parity bit, 2 stop bits.
As you know, BS2sx give 2 possibilities : 8 data bits, no parity or 7 data bits, one even parity.
How can we solve that, except to use an external UART to manage conversion between formats ?
Best Regards,
BernardJP

One other approach is to write your own, simple PIC formatter, which does all the formats you want -- which you'll need to write in PIC assembly language.
Another approach is to get the SX/B, set up the command, then tweak the bits and bit-counts to get the parity you want.
