    Yes, that is why simple robots commonly use comparators as brains. These types of circuits are actually pretty flexible. They can be easily modified to track lines, objects, light or avoid any of these.

    Or www.cadsoft.de , I know you've asked for input on what to get and have decided to purchase a package, but installing either of these packages until you get the money for your desired schematic editor will make your schematics much more readable. Your '393 is understandable to someone with enough experience, but your AD5220 is quite confusing.

    Just take the AD5220 circuit from the WAM manual and connect a1 and b1 to ground through a 220 Ohm resistor. Connect w1 to VDD.
