I would for some reason like to know what everyone's first robot was. Mine was the Photopopper 4.2b.

EDIT: One neat trick I learned with mine, if you bend the cells so they face up, and reverse their connections, the robot becomes a "photovore", going towards the brightest light source.

...By crude definition, my first robot was a "walkie-talkie" incased in a motorized erector-set
where I could "speak" into another "walkie-talkie" in the next room, while my "Robot" spun
around in circles tormenting the dog. Keep in mind, I was barely in the third grade.

But how many remember the Heathkit robot that was offered many moons ago. I fantasized about getting one, complete the robotic arm and speech kit. I wanted to program it to chase the cat around the house wildly swinging its arm about, all the while yelling out "Danger Will Robinson! Danger!"
Maybe it's a good thing I didn't have the money. The cat would never have been the same.
