Get the serial port number?

Hello,

For updating the software with the correct version number written inside the basic stamp, we will have to write a little application to check the current version from BS2p.· However, we get stuck on knowing which serial port that customer use.· Any way to get the serial port number that connect to the BS2p?

    · How are your customers interfacing to the stamp?· Only the customer will be able to provide this information.· He most likely will be able to tell by looking in his "Device Manager" on his PC or if he is using the BASIC Stamp editor he can·tell by clicking on "Run" and "Identify".

    Dave,

    We have sold our products as OEM supply, not to the end customers.· And there are more than a few serial ports used in the end system.· End customers cannot·provide·which one is which that connects to BS2p easily.

    Since we want to upgrade·BS software by using·standa-alone executable suggested by Ken Gracey, we would like to know a head which serial port has connected to BS2p so that the wrong version of BS cannot be installed.
