SolidState Relay Isolation

I want to use the following SSR for actuation of·solinoid, power supply for Solinoid is 2.5a 25vdc.

BS2 side is; straight off pins to relays then vss do I need anything else (ya know I want to protect my bs2p24)

Solinoid side will be completly seperate including ground

    I would put a 470 ohm resistor after the bs2 pin but before the ssr besides that its optically isolated so thats good

    I don't think that part you specified is going to work for you -- it can only hand 120 mA load and you're asking for 2.5 amps.

    As Jon mentioned, the SSR's you chose cannot handle the current you want to switch.

    The following circuit should easily handle the job.

    Good guy prices for the IRL520 can be had at www.glitchbuster.com

    You could get a small Crydom relay to switch the load -- the DC version for your requirements is about $25 at Digi-Key.
