What information does a Bs2 get from a gps unit and what does it look like? As a new programmer im trying to understand how things talk to each other.

investigate the search function on this board and google will help you out if you know what to look for!
Basically what you should know is that the stamp is fantastic with serial strings (commonly known as rs232).
There are also some GPS's (not all) that have a serial adaptor that you can use to connect to a computer to upload/download info/maps!
Well, why not connect that serial connector to a stamp!· Been done!
The string you want to look up is NMEA 0183

Go to Parallax's site and look through the Nutz&Voltz articles in the downloads section.· There have been a few articles written for the gps and the stamp.·
