I'm looking for CAD software for circuit design that is almost free, under $50.00.

Has anyone used WinSchematic? How much does it cost?

I haven't used WinSchematic, but you can get a free evaluation copy here --> http://www.csieda.com/Download.htm#Eval

Here's a free, open source printed circuit board layout program that was just released a few days ago www.freepcb.com/

If you're just drawing schematics (not wanting to simulate circuit activity), then you can download ExpressPCB and you get ExpressSCH along with it. It's very simple to use, and when you do decide to build a board the ExpressSCH will export a netlist so that you get your board connections correct. I don't build a lot of board, but when I have to I use ExpressPCB.
