SX52 orientation

The dimple always signifies the upper left hand corner of the chip, irregardless of the print orientation, correct? The SX52 chip I have does not have the print in the same orientation of the dimple.

This dimple os always at the top of the chip. Pin 1 should be to the left of it(facing down, towards the chip). The print on the chip could just be a revision in the chip.

To be specific when the dimple is in the upper right hand corner of the chip, the print is rotated -90 degrees (vertical, readable when you tilt your head to the right), I figure the silk screen line cannot figure the orientation of the chip so it prints in whatever orientation the chip comes down the line.

What exactly are you trying to connect the sx52 to? A custom PCB, or some other companies one? I would say that the silkscreen of the print is not a very good measure for chip orientation, and would go with the dimple on the top.

I would just assume that you messed up with the print, and go with the dimple location.
