Red-i BASIC Stamp questions

Has anyone on this forum used this device.· It seems really power full but not sure if it will do what I need.

Simply, I want to hook 2 BS2 to my network on standard Ethernet.· In this case, each stamp will have its IP and can send or receive info from each other or any other member on the network.

I am interfacing these stamps to an automated observatory on the roof of our science museum.·

    Yes, I used this device, together with an Emic module to send text from a webpage and have the text spoken by the emic. The device worked fine, but it appears as though Parallax isn't going to carry the Red-i anymore...

    its not that parallax wont carry them anymore its the fact that the company that makes them no longer is producing/supplying them.
