I just loaded the MicroGUI software from the Parallax CD, but I don't know how to use it.

You did read the readme after installing MicroGUI, right? And you did read where it says to read the Quick Start Guide in the help documentation, right? And you did read the Quick Start Guide, right?

Ok. Good. However, there is a big step that the quick start guide doesn't mention. You must first load the stamp with the program which corresponds to the project you are working on. The MicroGUI does not load the stamp. That may seem obvious once you've read it, but it wasn't to me upon first installing and trying to set up MicroGUI.

So, fire up the Basic Stamp Editor and load the starter1.bs2 file from the BS2_Code directory of where MicroGUI was installed. Tokenize it and load it to the stamp. Then start up MicroGUI using the default starter1 project and you should be good to go.

I have the October 2004 CD. Sorry, I don't have access to the July version. And what isn't there? MicroGUI? I thought you already loaded it. I must have missed something. Please be more specific.

Pinoy NYC, MicroGUI allows you to create all kinds of GUI bells and whistles on the PC that connect to code on the stamp. Go to www.rhombus-tek.com/microgui.html for some screen shots. If you're looking for a cheap easy way of interacting with a stamp application from a Windows PC this looks like a reasonable alternative, although I've not used it other than the initial setup and playing around.

They should have been installed in c:\Program Files\MicroGUI\BS2_Code, or which ever directory you told the installer to use. If not, download the software from Rhombus-tek and reinstall from that. It provides the code as well.
