Comp no longer detects BS2

I need help...

My computer no longer detects my BS2. I'm hoping i didn't damage something.·I had a simple·program - basically wanted to set up a switch. Set P15 as input. When switch is off VDD goes to ground. when switch is closed, VDD goes to P15.

Can someone help?

    What is the exact message you are getting?

    What kind of computer are you using?

    Are you using a serial port or a USB port to connect withthe Stamp?

    serial port

    it was working fine right before this... the program ran fine as well...

    i'm worried i might have damaged the board as i did not have a load resistance inbetween VDD and P15... is that needed?

    A jumper between pins 6 & 7 on the DB9 connector forces automatic port detection, in case you have the wrong port # set to talk to the Stamp. Or just try all available comm ports on your drop-down list.

    i know what happened... i must have shorted VDD. VDD to VSS reads 0.2V and RES to VSS reads the same...

    Think i'll need to send it in for repair. Support said it would cost $28. Considering that plus the cost of shipping both ways, i think it might be cheaper to buy a new module...
