Looking at the website and the datasheet I would say: maybe it can be done but you may need a level shifter (ie MAX 232).
But you will have to try it to know for sure. If they are not too expensive I would have a go

THINK I PAID ABOUT USD 128 INC 2 ADAPTERS AND 2 WALL WARTS.
ON REAL RS-232 THEY WORK GREAT.
LIKE KLAUS SAID. FOR THESE TO YOU WOULD HAVE TO USE TTL TO RS-232 LEVEL SHIFTING. AL WILLIAMS (AWC) PUTS OUT A KIT THAT WILL WORK WITH THEM.

I AM "CURRENTLY" USING MINE BETWEEN 2 COMPUTERS WITH PC ANYWERE 4.5..... ALSO USE THEM BETWEEN A LAPTOP AND A AMATEUR RADIO PACKET TERMINAL NODE CONTROLLER WHICH IS SET UP IN THE GREENHOUSE. HAD TROUBLES WITH MICE EATING CABLES GOING INTO THE GREENHOUSE. NO MORE.....
