motor control help

hi everyone....i am doing a senior yr design project where i want the robot to move to a pole and climb it.·<i am using BASIC Stamp 2 to control it> i bought the full development kit from parallax and now want to use the Rev C board to control motors. now i learnt how to use servos but dont know how to go about using the board to control DC motors. also the motors my team is looking at operate at 12V whereas the board i have is 9V so i need a regulator too i guess. we will be using 6 DC motors and 4 servos for now...so i am assuming i need a lot more components than the ones included in the development kit....so·please let me know wat other stuff do i need as well

i wud really appreciate if someone could help me out....i am a mechanical engineer with an interest in electronics but no technical know-how....so when anyone replies please be nice n simple [noparse]:)[/noparse]
