Basic Stamp alarm

I'm working on an alarm using the BS2. It will sense a beam of IR across a doorway
and if that beam is broken, the BS2 will emit a 4000 Hz tone for 1 second.

You might consider using the PIN definition to make the program easier to update or incorporate into other projects.

I tried the same thing, except that I used a laser pointer running off of a AC/DC power supply, and a·photoresistor to detect if the beam was interrupted.· When it· was it set off an alarm that didn’t turn off.·

I had actually tried this once, but instead of using a tube to focus the IR led I used an old camera lens.blush.gif

This significantly increased the accuracy of the beam.freaked.gif

Robby, you can use up to 7 IR pairs (LEDS - DETECTORS) or up to 15 simple photointerupters detectors to armor all over your place if you like!!

The only problem I see is all the wiring along the house making your wife go crazy!!! lol.gif

    Robby,

If you want to increase the volume of a "raw piezo" (i.e no internal piezo circuitry), then
see my reply in the "Stamps in Class" section several months ago about amplifying a piezo speaker.
