Does anyone make a sx28 surface mount proto board?

    Parallax is in the process of developing protoboards that you populate yourself, though I don't know if they are specifically making an SX28-AC/SS version. Also they haven't given a target date when they will be available. I can point you to some smd to through hole adapter products Digikey sells that would permit you to solder it onto a package which should fit in the DIP socket of the SX-Tech, but this would require desoldering to place it on your final PCB. Digikey also carrys some ZIF sockets for certain SMD package types (Im not sure if they have one for the SX28-AC/SS package) but they are quite expensive (cheapest I remember is ~$50 and they go upto $200). I don't know if any 3rd party vendors carry what your looking for.

    We are working on a series of proto boards for the SX line, and yes, the SS parts will be accomodated.
