Hello. I recently purchased these DPDT switches from www.allelectronics.com. These to be exact:

I was hoping it would close or open a ciruit based on its position (up or down). Unfortunetley it's not working as expected. Anyone know what's wrong?
Thanks.

I suspect there is a simple wiring error?

the dotted line (:)·signifies that the switching elements (represented by \) move in unison. A multimeter will confirm this.
typically the pins will be organized like this (using terminal·letters from above)
A C B
D F E
Again by testing the resistance with a multimeter will verify if this is the case. The resistance between any of the top·pin and a bottom pin will be near infinite and vice versa, the resistance between·A and B, as well as D and E will also be near infinite. C with A or B will depend on the switch state, the same holds true for F with D or E.
