Looking for Good WindowsXP/NT/2000 Dumb terminal program

Hi,

Do any of you remember Windows terminal.exe from Win3.x?

I'm looking for a nice simple, freeware version of a similar
program to read and send data through a serial port.

I used to run the terminal.exe in win95, and Win98, but now
with the protected mode operating systems, it cannot access
ther serial port hardware, thus will not operate under WinXP...
... Thus my delema.

Anyone have any good suggestions?· (I really don't want to write my own version of the terminal program)

Hyperterm supplied with Windows does that now, I believe.

Under Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications, Hyperterminal.
