Rs-485 help
I need help
I am using a BOE and a maxRS485 transciever to send serout to a PSC.
I read the data sheet like 30 times. I·read Stamp Aplications·No 28·(June '97)
It has a sample string in·it·that needs to be sent "000001", then goes on to say
"Since the lowest·two bits are reserved for the RS-485 tranciever the statring pattern is "00000100"
I don't find any such thing in the data sheets.
Right now my little network is not·working.
do I need to add·2 more bits to the string? what is meant by the above " "·
I have one rs485 set to rx and one to tx. confirmed by voltmeter.
Only on the ouput of the tx is·steady +5v on pin B and 0v in pin A. If I pull off the DI wire and connet it directly to the PSC it works fine.
just not working connected to the RS-485.
I will be ordering the book Serial Port Complete next week till then any help would be apeciated.
