Min Computer Hardware Requirement for Stamp2

I just purchased the BASIC Stamp Discovery Kit (USB).· I want to use a Dell Laptop with a Pentium I running at 233 MHz· w/MMX and 64 MB Ram.· Will this work with the kit?· I think it will but I want to be sure before I spend my money.

    The only thing you need a computer for is to run the BASIC Stamp Windows Editor (you can download it at http://www.parallax.com/html_pages/downloads/software/software_basic_stamp.asp).· If you can run XP, I am sure you can run the Editor.· Just to be sure, I would download it first and try it.· It is free to download.

    From the WAM book, the recommended minimums are:

    Win95 or newer
    serial or USB port
    CD-ROM drive, WWW access or both.

    They make no mention of memory or hard disk requirements

    On my machine, running XP Pro, stampw uses just under 8k of memory and the installed programs about 6 meg of disk. My thoughts are that the proposed system would run it just fine.
